Sonny's Story
It was 1998 when our Yellow Lab Puppy, Sonny, made his initial appearance at Somers Animal Hospital for his first checkup. Right then, we knew it was a special place. Everyone loved this new puppy and Sonny knew it. I remember the Doctor sniffing Sonny's breath. I was told that it was a way to tell that everything inside was functioning like a puppy should. In return for his efforts, Sonny licked the doctor’s face as they both enjoyed it. Nothing has changed except the calendar. It's 12 years later. The same love and compassion is evident every time Sonny comes in. From reception thru the surgeons, you can feel it. Sonny has received the best of care over the years. He is healthy, playful and energetic. He still thinks and acts like a Puppy. When you see him, please don't tell him that he's not.

This letter is to thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the wonderful care and compassion you folks at the Somers Animal Hospital give our Eddy and Lucy They are Lhasa Apso's so they are not the easiest to deal with but the understanding and the love you  show is amazing. I found out about you from my neighbor, and found out you saved his dog from cancer. I look at my dogs and they are not dogs but true family members... We would not go anywhere else.
